Hexbug Warriors Battle Stadium Review

Hexbug Warriors Battle Stadium Review

Lovers of the Hexbug micro-robotic creatures have a reason to rejoice with the introduction of the Hexbug Warriors Battle Stadium.

It is 2087 and students from the four best science academies in the galaxy have come to the battle arena to pit their creations against each other to see who emerges the winner.

Customize your Warrior robot with the included armor and weapons to prepare them for battle and then set them loose. The robot comes with a shock sensor that records major hits. Each hit decreases your health level until it reaches zero and your robot deactivates.

As each Hexbug Warrior is turned on, its weapons leap into action with the proprietary Hexbug Nano vibration technology.

The Hexbug Warriors Battle Stadium Viridia vs. Bionika edition includes everything you’ll need to start playing, including the battle stadium which consists of eight pieces that you can put together in your desired configuration and two robots, one from the Bionica cyborg academy and the other from the Viridia prep academy, as well as twelve standoff pieces which are used to support the battle stadium pieces.

You can make your Battle Stadium as big or as small as you want.

If you have a friend with their own Battle Stadium set, you can even combine your pieces together to create a huge Battle Stadium that twists and turns to give your battle Hexbug Warriors a genuine workout. Adding more pieces to the Battle Stadium also increases the challenge level of the Battles as it gives your Hexbug Warriors more room to maneuver.

The four academies featured in the world of the Hexbug Warriors are: the Bionica academy, which specializes in robotic human cyborg technology, the Viridians who study technology that can be used to preserve the earth, the Caldera prep academy that specializes in geothermal and other green technologies and the Tronikon, a military tech academy.

Each of the academy robots also has its own color: the Caldera Prep robots are red, the Bionikas are blue, the Viridias green and the Tronikons, yellow.

The robots can be operated in two modes. The Training Mode allows users to hone their skills before going into battle, as the robots have unlimited health levels which allows them to test various combinations of battle and weapons in scrimmages, and the regular battle mode, in which your robots go into battle, crashing and jostling each other until one loses all its health and deactivates.

The damage indicator light shows how much damage your robot has sustained, as the light moves from green to yellow and red then starts to blink as your robot is about to run out of health. After each battle, Hexbug Warriors can be reset to play again. The set is recommended for children ages six to eight and above.

Children who are not yet ready for the Battle Stadium set can practice with the Hexbug Warriors Battle Arena. This basic set features two Battle Arena pieces as well as three standoffs and two Hexbug Warriors. There are four Battle Arena sets, each with a different pair of Hexbug Warriors that also come with extra bonus armor. Pieces from different Battle Arena sets can also be combined to create bigger arenas or used with the Battle Stadium sets.

Hexbug Warriors can also be bought separately, as robots from each academy are sold in single packs. Each robot has its own set of Warrior Armor and there are twelve single packs available. Read more….
